  • Wash and chop three large apricots. Warm them in a pan and place them on the sore ear as an envelope.
  • Chop a handful of basil leaves with the same amount of banana leaves. Warm the mixture slightly (lukewarm) and put it as an envelope on the sore ear.
  • Cut an onion into small pieces and then briefly heat it in a cloth in the microwave. Then place it on the sore ear as a compass.
  • Briefly heat a tablespoon of virgin olive oil with a pressed clove of garlic. Then let this paste cool down and place it on the ear opening with some cotton wool.
  • Heat two tablespoons of rice, then place them in a cloth bag or wrap them in a cloth. Then put it on your ear with a towel.
  • Put seven drops of olive oil and the contents of one vitamin E capsule in a dry, sealable glass jar. Then mix well with two pressed garlic cloves. Close the jar and briefly warm it up in a water bath. Filter the oil and put a few drops in your ear as soon as it is only lukewarm.   • Add two tablespoons of marsh rue to half a cup of boiling water. Let it cool down and use it to moisten some cotton wool, which is then placed in the ear.
  • Squeeze a lemon and moisten some cotton wool with the juice. Put this in your ear before going to bed (gently, not too far inwards) and let it work for ten minutes. This home remedy is especially useful if the pain is caused by too much ear wax.
  • Crush ten chamomile flowers with four tablespoons of olive oil and let steep for two days. This home remedy is particularly recommended if the pain is caused by excessive cerumen production.
  • Warm up two tablespoons of almond oil and allow to cool to room temperature. Put two drops of it in your ear and then cover it with cotton wool.
  • Briefly warm up a handful of oregano leaves in half a cup of water (approx. 3 minutes) and then let cool down a little. Sieve and fill into a dropper bottle. Put three drops in the sore ear (not if the eardrum is torn).

Home remedies
  • Grill a potato, then wrap it in a cloth. Put this on the ear as hot as possible.
  • Boil half a cup of water with a handful of coarse salt. Dip a towel in the salt water, then place it on your ear.
  • Grate a radish, then heat it. Spread the radish on a thin cloth, then place it on your ear until the compress is cold.
  • Place three drops of aloe vera gel in your ear canal, then tilt your head on its side for a few minutes. You shouldn’t use this home remedy if your eardrum is torn.
  • Crush a handful of Swiss chard leaves and then pour the resulting juice into a dropper bottle. Put four drops in your ear.

  • Treat sore throats immediately.
  • Strengthen the immune system.
  • Do not share headphones with other people.
  • Avoid swimming pools with too much chlorine in the water.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the ear.
  • Sleep on your side to facilitate drainage.
