preparation

Making sage tea is very easy. Use 15 grams of dried or fresh sage leaves and flowers for one quart of boiling water.  If you have a sage plant in a flower pot at home or in the garden, you can always make fresh tea.

The dried leaves are also easily available in health food houses.

Let the tea steep for about three minutes. Then you can add lemon juice as you like and sweeten the tea with a little stevia or pure honey. Without sweeteners, the tea tastes slightly bitter, but that depends on your taste preferences.

This amount is enough for three to four days. Don’t forget to eat a healthy diet high in fruits and vegetables, especially cleansing foods.

You can consume the tea both cold and warm. It’s best to drink a cup on an empty stomach to stimulate the digestive system and get rid of fats and toxins effectively.

You can keep the tea in a bottle with a lid in the refrigerator and drink it cold when you are thirsty or prepare smaller amounts in winter and drink it warm.
