Gastritis - Advice and Tips on Treatment

Gastritis is a disease that is common to people who work in the office. They often have poor diets and at irregular times.

However, not all gastritis cases are due to these reasons. There are also patients who suffer from this disease due to excessive alcohol consumption. Others get sick from bacteria or from medication with side effects.

Regardless of the trigger, this disease is bothersome and uncomfortable because the symptoms limit us in everyday life. Below are some treatments that will help “cure” gastritis.

Mild gastritis

  • The most important action we can take is in our diet. We should ban all spicy foods from our menu, as well as foods rich in fat, such as fried foods and sauces.
  • The second measure is that we try to keep the portions of our meals small and take fruits, biscuits or fruit juice as snacks. So the stomach is never busy and we can prevent gastritis.
  • If you are one of those alcohol lovers, you should limit your consumption as much as possible. It would be best to avoid alcohol altogether.
  • It is also advisable to always eat slowly so that good digestion can be guaranteed. It can be observed that people who eat quickly often have stomach problems. Acid regurgitation and heartburn occur as the digestive system cannot function normally and the stomach has to put up with greater strain.
  • It is also important to control stress. This includes stress in both work and everyday life. There are certainly situations every day in which we are prone to stress and put our nerves to the test. Often we have many problems for which we cannot see a solution, and so we feel anxious and stressed. We have to try to control these situations, for example by breathing deeply or screaming out briefly and loudly in order to get rid of the oppressive. Health comes first.

    Chronic gastritis

This type of gastritis is much more complicated because it does not appear for a limited time and cannot be relieved with tea.

If you have chronic gastritis, you should consult a specialist. There are several drugs that can prevent the stomach from producing too much acid.

At the same time, one should look for the causes of the disease in order to take them into account during treatment, possibly under medical supervision.

    Natural treatment for gastritis

There are many natural treatments that can be used to relieve the symptoms of gastritis.

A large consumption of high-fiber foods such as cereals, fruits (but not citrus fruits), flax seeds, fresh ginger, coconut water, liquorice tea is particularly recommended. In this way we can prevent or relieve the inflammation of the stomach.

Finally, we can advise you to have your last meal two to three hours before going to bed. If we go to sleep on a full stomach, the symptoms of gastritis can worsen.

Also, keep in mind that dinner shouldn’t be too heavy. A salad or fruit is recommended late in the evening.
