ingredients

  • 3 aloe leaves
  • 10 ml lemon juice

preparation

  • Before you cut the leaves, it is advisable to water the plant  daily for 5 days so that it is vigorous.
  • Then cut off 3 aloe leaves to get the juice out.
  • Remove the side spines, then soak the leaves in a container of water for at least 24 hours. Change the water every 3-4 hours so that the leaves completely excrete the aloin it contains, as this substance can be toxic.
  • After this time, remove the leaves from the water to squeeze out the pulp and proceed with the preparation of the gel.
  • Cut the leaves open on one side with a knife.
  • Remove the gel with a spoon or spatula and store it in a bowl.
  • Add the lemon juice and wheat germ oil. The latter contains vitamin E and other antioxidants and thus enhances the positive properties of aloe.
  • All ingredients are now mixed at medium high speed until a thick, whitish cream is formed. If you don’t have a food processor on hand, you can use a stand mixer for this.
  • Fill the finished gel into a sealable jar and store it in the  refrigerator so that it can be kept longer.
